i carry your heart with me

So according to a note on this article, “I Want You Back” was cut:

And “I Want You Back” is the Warblers number that we’re doing. That one is unbelievable. That was definitely one of my favorite, if not my favorite, Jackson 5 songs growing up. … It was my mom’s favorite song. She freaked out when she heard I was doing it. So that was pretty amazing. (Note from Curt: The “I Want You Back” number was cut from the final version so won’t be part of the episode.]

I’m not really bummed about losing the song, but now we’re going to miss out on all the scenes of the 5 of them at Dalton and whatever was said there.

The Glee Cast Tells Us How They Really Feel About Sleazy Sebastian

How evil, or stupid, is Sebastian anyway? So far, we know that that the self-assured Dalton Academy Warbler — aka Glee’s christened Season 3 villain — has sex and Blaine on the brain and little else. And based on his appearances thus far, his personals ad probably reads something like this: “Likes — one-night stands, Blaine ‘sex on a stick’ Anderson, Lima, Ohio’s finest gay dive bar, Scandals, and coffee with a shot of Courvoisier.”

Oh, and he used to live in Paris, plays Lacrosse and has waged war on Kurt.

If Sebastian and Santana are singing that song together, does that mean that there’s going to be some scheming going on?
Yes. I don’t want to give too much, but there has been a picture released of Sebastian slushing Blaine … I won’t say how or why, but Blaine gets hurt from that slushing. It’s been tampered with slightly.

Interview with Grant in The Hollywood reporter

Who has the right to be “Bad”? That’s what New Directions and the Warblers will be facing off over Tuesday when Fox’s Glee pays tribute to Michael Jackson with an hour dedicated to songs from the late King of Pop’s catalog.

Led by Dalton Academy’s newest Warbler Sebastian (Grant Gustin), the dueling glee clubs will go head-to-head when both schools want to perform a Jackson song at Regionals, re-creating the video for “Bad,” and covering “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’,” “I Want You Back,” “Scream” and “Smooth Criminal.”

Gustin tells The Hollywood Reporter that Sebastian will ditch the charming attitude and “take a turn for the mean” as he works hard to ensure the Warblers win the right to feature Jackson.

“It becomes everyone versus Sebastian,” Gustin says. “Everyone turns on him by the end of the episode, including the Warblers.”

After rebuffing Sebastian’s romantic advances, Blaine (Darren Criss) will become a target for the former flirt, who takes things a bit too far and winds up making an enemy out of Santana (Naya Rivera) in the process.

“Sebastian is more offensive in this episode and I say some things to Santana at the beginning of the episode,” he says. “She’s pissed at what Sebastian has done to one of her friends — the slushie to Blaine — and there’s a little extra there and Blaine has to go to the hospital.”

Sebastian and Santana will have their confrontation via Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal,” a number which Gustin says the duo were allowed to improvise a bit with after choreographer Zach Woodlee gave them a pattern to guide the song. “From there, we got to do what we wanted with the number, it was my most fu n day filming so far,” he says.

Elsewhere in the episode, the Warblers will perform their biggest number yet when they cover “I Want You Back,” a routine Gustin says features more dancing than the guys have ever done that will take place at Dalton with a pair of New Directions members in attendance. He notes the Warblers aren’t trying to lure Blaine back but instead more of a “look how good we are” performance.

Meanwhile, look for Gustin to guest star Sunday on CBS’ CSI: Miami 10 p.m., where he’ll play twins. As for when he’ll return to Glee, the young actor is unsure but optimistic that Sebastian could be back for Regionals.

maesie_mae: Would love to hear that Sebastian on Glee does something more interesting than just trying to steal Blaine and be an ass to Kurt?
Trust us, you’ll be so blinded by Sebastian’s smooth moves in “Michael” that you’ll barely notice how awful he is to Kurt and Blaine. Especially since it’s more of an “essence” of Michael Jackson through the episode and not just a straight-up remake of his music videos. “It’s not like the Britney episode where it was like, ‘Oh my god! These are the music videos!’” Grant Gustin tell us. “It’s more of an essence; it kind of creates the vibe. It’s not even really Michael Jackson choreography.” Intriguing or blasphemous? Never fear, MJ fans. We hear someone (*cough* Blaine and Artie *cough*) will be pulling some of MJ’s iconic moves.

marilou09_glee: Are you tired of me asking about Finchel though? ‘Cause I would really like to know something about Valentine’s Day Finchel! :)
It would be an odd, odd day if nobody asked us about Finchel. But since their big proposal moment in the last episode, of course we’re all talking about them! We still don’t know her answer, but have you seen this photo of Lea Michele on set during the Valentine’s Day episode? That looks like an engagement ring on her finger, doesn’t it? And it’s the same scene with her dads (Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes) and Finn (Cory Monteith). Maybe a post-engagement lunch celebration? Or are her ‘rents going to intervene and stop the wedding bells from ringing? Then again, the powers-that-be over at Glee could be tricking all of us. Or that could be an unrelated ring. So many possibilities and still another week until we get answers!
